#1 was awesome. It interesting to see Moore's whole "deconstuction of superheroes" thing taking shape. I can see how Watchmen did it in a more subtle way that you might not necessarily understand right away. But this tells you flat out what its intentions are at the beginning (with the brilliant shift from the 50s to the 80s). I really enjoyed it.

In fact, everytime I think about it, it sends shivers down my spine.
No comic, ever, has truly made me wrap my head around the concept of a godlike being other than this comic. Miracleman - his power is just absolutely terrifying.
And the origin - oof. It's amazing.
