https://silenthill.fandom.com/wiki/User:Darkknight2149/TimelineLooks like it. Townfall should be put between The Arcade and SH3, though.
Not sure where all of the dates are sourced from, but a few of them are definitely confirmed.
I mean, I didn't really think to include P.T. because of it being unlisted and all, but...I noticed that P.T. is excluded here. If I recall correctly, the in-game radio mentions events from "75 years ago" in 1938, which would set it in 2013/2014. 2014 is probably likely since that's when the game came out.
Maybe you don't want to include it because it was unlisted, though.
I would still count it. I was also a little confused by it being excluded to be honest.I mean, I didn't really think to include P.T. because of it being unlisted and all, but...
I would probably just ignore this, it's a minor background asset that would probably just scanned from a real world texture. Maybe wait and see what answers the remake gives, otherwise I'd just keep the date established in Homecoming.W-Wait, since 1987, but...

God f*cking damn it! Now that just means the Timeline needs reworking!
Yeah, it's also a culturally significant piece of horror media that deserves to be remembered. Even though the story unfortunately won't be continued, that doesn't necessarily mean it should be discounted as non-canon.I would still count it. I was also a little confused by it being excluded to be honest.
You left out the Silent Hill Arcade game.I think you should also mention a few other pieces of media that aren't going to be covered here, such as Play Novel: Silent Hill and Silent Hill DX. Personally, I'd also exclude most of the early spinoff titles due to their own discrepancies with the primary canon and overall shoddiness, but I suppose there's nothing to really indicate that they're non-canon. My timeline, based on what I've gathered so far and my own personal thoughts, would go something like this:
1867: Silent Hill: Past Life
1960s: Silent Hill f
1976: Silent Hill: Origins
1983: Silent Hill: Cage of Cradle
1983: Silent Hill (Remake)
1993: Silent Hill 2: Born from a Wish
1993: Silent Hill 2 (Remake)
1996: Silent Hill: Townfall
2000: Silent Hill 3
2001: Silent Hill 4: The Room
2007: Silent Hill: Homecoming
2008 (?): Silent Hill: Sinner's Reward
2011: Silent Hill: Downpour
2011: Silent Hill: Anne's Story
2014: P.T.
2022: Silent Hill: The Short Message
2023 (?): Silent Hill: Ascension
That's also one of the ones I'd exclude. Again, it's just my personal timeline - I'm discounting the lower quality spin-off titles that can pretty easily be ignored. It's totally fine if you disagree. Think of it like the other comics you chose to exclude. You left out the Silent Hill Arcade game.
In fairness, the excluded comics have massive continuity issues with the games that they can't really work together. The arcade game, meanwhile, doesn't contradict anything and could presumably be in continuity with the other stuff. That's also one of the ones I'd exclude. For this one, I'm thinking we could tentatively place it in 1993 to coincide with Silent Hill 2's events, since this comic was created by Masahiro Ito, and thus the Pyramid Head depicted is probably the one part of James Sunderland's mind, rather than the "Boogeyman" in the spinoffs. Since Maria and presumably all of the monsters in the game were manifested when James entered the town, and Pyramid Head died when James finally accepted the truth, that would put it around the beginning of SH2's events, as Pyramid Head manifests and starts to question his purpose (like Maria).I found something else. There's a 6-page comic written and illustrated by Masahiro Ito, which came packaged with the Japanese Silent Hill: Origins soundtrack in 2008, called White Hunter. I don't know anything about it, but it's the last piece of media you haven't mentioned here (aside from everything I just outlined). It might be worth looking into.

Never mind! Turns out it is indeed a non-canon alternate universe story. This was confirmed by Masahiro Ito (his quotes are linked below). White Hunter should be put into the list of media excluded. Though, we could just ignore it. It seems like it might just be an alternate universe comic, and I don't think it's meant to have much of a tangible plot anyway. It's an artistic piece. Your decision, though.
Harry's Jeep was launched in 1986 so there are at least two things that point to that time frame, that would place SH3 in 2003/4W-Wait, since 1987, but...

Once again, none of this provides any concrete evidence for year placements. Two background assets may not necessarily reflect the developers' intentions. We should keep the current dates and wait until the Silent Hill remake, which I'm fairly confident will give us some answers. This seems right
I'd recommend you guys check out this video, it's pretty interesting.
